Yes I was told that if I got below under 200 pounds that I would be given surgery, but they didn't show it. So I guess they decided to go back on that promise.

Stommen also shared the harsh verbal treatment she received from one of the show's producers. During her weigh-in scene in Whistler, Canada, Stommen cried as she talked to Powell. Off camera, Stommen said the tears were a result of a producer screaming at her for several minutes.

Stommen also said she was bothered by some edits the show used to create a narrative that wasn't completely accurate. This included a segment, filmed on the day of her reveal in May, that appeared to happen much earlier in her journey.
